Outlining the objectives of the visit and the achievements of the Tehran Chamber’s three years of participation in the exhibition, Najafi Arab also highlighted the Chamber’s future plans to expand trade cooperation with various regions of China, particularly Xinjiang and the Khorgos Free Trade Zone.
The President of the Tehran Chamber urged business owners to adopt a forward-looking approach to entering the Chinese market by taking part in international exhibitions and business events.
“Three years ago, the Tehran Chamber launched an initiative to ensure Iran’s participation in this exhibition and introduce Iranian-made products to Chinese traders,” Najafi Arab said.
He noted that a considerable number of companies that initially participated in the exhibition through the Tehran Chamber’s pavilion are now taking part independently.
“This achievement demonstrates the effectiveness of the measures taken and reflects a growing trend in the presence of Iranian companies in the Chinese market,” he added.
Referring to the diversity of industries represented at the Iranian pavilion, Najafi Arab said that, in addition to petrochemical companies, food industry businesses had also participated significantly this year.
He added that the South Khorasan Chamber of Commerce had set up its own dedicated pavilion for the first time, alongside the Tehran Chamber’s pavilion. Companies from the province are showcasing their products and capabilities in various sectors, including food processing and mining.
Highlighting the potential of Iranian businesses in petrochemicals, agriculture, food production, carpets and handicrafts, the TCCIM president noted that five industry associations representing the dairy, confectionery and chocolate, dates, and saffron sectors were participating in the Tehran Chamber’s pavilion this year.
He expressed hope that their participation would help increase sales of Iranian products, secure long-term trade agreements and ultimately expand Iran’s share of non-oil exports.
Najafi Arab further emphasized the Chamber’s focus on developing trade cooperation with different regions of China.
“Under the Tehran Chamber’s plans, the Khorgos Free Trade Zone, as well as China’s northwestern and northeastern regions, have been given special priority. Xinjiang, in particular, offers considerable potential for expanding trade exchanges and exports of Iranian products,” he said.
Najafi Arab expressed hope that continued efforts and the effective use of existing capacities would pave the way for further growth in Iran’s non-oil exports to China and translate the presence of Iranian companies in the Chinese market into more tangible commercial achievements.
