He described chambers of commerce as playing a significant and influential role in organizing the participation of businesses, showcasing the country’s production and export capabilities, and facilitating connections between Iranian businesspeople and target markets.
Referring to the longstanding relations between Iran and China, Najafi Arab said that participation in major exhibitions such as the China International Import Expo provides an opportunity to showcase and explore the commercial potential of the two countries in areas including energy, petrochemicals, mining and mineral industries, food industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, technical and engineering services, and human resources.
He added that Iran’s market and strategic geographical location offer unique opportunities for Chinese companies and can pave the way for sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Highlighting the Tehran Chamber’s approach to expanding trade relations between Iranian and Chinese companies and moving beyond the traditional buyer-seller model, Najafi Arab stressed the importance of developing joint ventures, transferring technology and technical know-how, and strengthening the production capabilities of businesses in both countries.
As in previous years, the Tehran Chamber has facilitated the participation of five private-sector companies in the exhibition, with the aim of supporting business associations and promoting exports of Iranian-made products.
The Tehran Chamber Pavilion, located in Hall 7.1 of the China International Import Expo, features representatives of companies active in the food and agriculture sectors, including businesses specializing in dates, dairy products, saffron, and confectionery and chocolate.
The exhibition, which opened today, November 6, and will run through November 10, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, is one of China’s most important economic events, with a particular focus on imports.
