Tehran Chamber opens new route for transporting goods

The Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture has launched a joint cooperation with Hopa Port in Turkey with the aim of developing alternative foreign trade routes and facilitating economic operators' access to logistics services. Based on this cooperation, members of the Tehran Chamber can benefit from special discounts on some of the port and logistics services of this port by receiving a letter of introduction from the Chamber.

 

Given the challenges and disruptions in some southern transport corridors, diversifying trade routes and utilizing new regional capacities to maintain and continue the flow of foreign trade has become an important necessity for the country's economic actors. In this context, the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture has entered into a cooperation agreement with Hopa Port in Turkey to provide economic actors with an alternative route for export, import and transit of goods.

 

This agreement will enable Tehran Chamber members to benefit from the logistics capacities, services, and discounts expected at this port, while at the same time, by strengthening alternative transportation routes, it will help increase supply chain resilience, reduce operational risks, and facilitate the country's trade exchanges.

 

Based on the agreement, Tehran Chamber members can benefit from the discounts provided for in the services covered by this cooperation, including unloading and loading of goods, container services, warehousing, terminal services, CFS services, refrigerated container services, and other logistics services.
