Tehran, IRNA – Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the need to strengthen and expand bilateral relations, especially in trade and economic sectors, with African countries.

 

Iran’s new ambassador to Sierra Leone, Javad Dehghan Haghighi Lotf-Abadi, met with Araghchi on Monday before departing for Freetown.

During their meeting, the new envoy briefed Araghchi on his mission and his plans to strengthen the ties between Tehran and Freetown.

For his part, Araghchi emphasized the importance of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s relations with African countries, highlighting the need to expand and strengthen bilateral ties, particularly in the economic and trade sectors.
