TEHRAN- In their 39th meeting of the board of representatives of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA) on Tuesday, the representatives of the private sector criticized the restrictions imposed on the country's internet for security reasons.

In this meeting, whose main agenda was to present a report on the technology and innovation programs of the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, the representatives of the private sector also lamented the irreparable losses of this approach (limitations on the internet) on the country's financial status and human resources.

The representatives of the private sector found that restrictions on the internet and filtering of platforms and social networks have caused damage to businesses, especially micro and small businesses, which has affected the income of urban and rural households.

They also warned against the discouragement of the young and entrepreneurial class and interpreted this approach as causing irreparable damage to human resources and causing financial losses to the country's economy.
